In what seems to be turning into an annual event Rachael and I met up with our good friends Stu and Sandrine over in the Lake District for a delightful day’s hiking and eating…
Last time we had brilliant sunshine and did a pretty punishing day’s hiking that started and ended with delicious food. This time we modified the plan slightly and started with some delicious food, made a booking to ensure delicious food in the evening and did a much less knackering route up Loughrigg Fell from Ambleside instead. As you might be able to spot from the pictures, the weather wasn’t quite as nice as last time, but we had just as much fun!

Thumbs:
A big thumbs up for the walk with a thumbs down for the weather. A thumbs down for the parking in Ambleside, but a thumbs up for Lucy4 restaurant, with a thumbs down for it’s prices. But mostly, a huge thumbs up for being able to spend the day with John and Rachael and getting to see his Wankel…

Ha ha ha! We had a great time too – and any time is a good time to get my Wankel out!
