Here’s my good lady stretching out in a Virgin Upper Class seat. You get a foot stool that can actually double as a second seat so you can dine with a friend. The whole thing then turns into a flat bed for sleeping on. Definitely the way to travel.
When it’s converted into bed mode it’s open at your feet, but it doesn’t feel claustraphobic - instead it feels nice and cosy. The pod is cleverly designed to maximise the use of space and maximise privacy and there’s enough space to roll from one side to the other quite easily. They’re all angled forwards so when you take off and land you’re actually pointing about 45 degrees so are almost sideways. Takes a bit of getting used to!

Does the whole pod close up? Isn’t it a bit claustrophobic?
